My case is about CSPA. My petition was filed before my 21st birthday but my father naturalized after my 21st birthday. While I qualify for CSPA, due to my father's naturalization, I have been converted to F1 category. My case is very similar to what this lawyer has discussed here: https://www.gurfinkel.com/new-hope-for-cspa-age-out-children/. In summary, some second circuit courts have stated that if a parent naturalizes after the beneficiary's 21st birthday, and the beneficiary qualifies for CSPA, the category changes to IR2, not F1.

I want to appeal my case. My question is, will I have to consult a lawyer or not? And how much will such a case cost?
