Hi everyone,

We submitted our application on March 2021 and right now we are waiting for NOA2. However, I (the petitioner) changed my name during the process and just got the court order few days ago.

My question is: do I need to submit the document reflecting my name change? If yes, when is the best time to do it? And how to send it to USCIS since I can’t find any guidelines about it in USCIS website.

Thank you.

No need to send to USCIS.  After petition approval and the case gets forwarded to the interviewing consulate, your beneficiary should put the new name on the appropriate sections in the DS-160 form.  Email a copy of your legal name change document to your beneficiary to print and bring to the visa interview.
