DCF - Job Offer Questions

Hi all, I'm new here and have been trying to research as much as possible, but I've got a couple questions I haven't been able to answer on my own.

I'm a USC, hubby is Japanese.

I have unofficially received a job offer from the US. The official offer is being drawn up now. However, the company is a brand new company started by my friend. He has several companies he's started and had decent success with, so it's not unusual that a new one has popped up, but I'm not sure what immigration is going to think of it. It's a legitimate offer but I'm worried they won't think it is. Same friend is also willing to help sponsor my husband on the 864 if needed. He's got +$2mil in stocks he's been sitting on so he's financially able. He's ALSO willing to hire my husband once the GC/work permission is issued. (When I talked to the Tokyo embassy about DCF, the girl said under her breath that a 'letter of interest' from an employer for the beneficiary looks good on an application)

So... is it okay if all this comes from a friend? My friend does have  a bit of clout with DoD, a high security clearance, he's a politician, etc but has nearly no online presence. (to be clear, I'm a nobody, it's my friend that's crazy successful)

Sorry if this is a bit scattered but basically... this is a real offer for a real job but I'm scared they will doubt the legitimacy of it all. I guess no one can say for sure but just wondering how cynical the agents tend to be.

And unrelated, but we JUUUUUST applied for Canada's EE program. Is that going to affect us in any way? Now that I have a job offer, the US is going to be the destination of choice. I'm just hoping we didn't somehow hurt our chances of DCF

Thanks all!

Why would they doubt it?  Relocation to the US for work is one of the few listed reasons for DCF, have the company write it up, prepare your I130, and submit it.  Your husband is eligible to work from day 1 after entering on a CR1/IR1 and if he also has employment lined up that’s a bonus.  Good luck.
