IR Visa Interviews in Mumbai

Hi all,

With the present covid situation in India (specifically Mumbai), and that the government has announced so many measures of a lockdown, any idea of the US Consulate in Mumbai is still conducting visa interviews for IR visas?

What does the message on the website for the US embassy in Mumbai say?

The website doesn't say anything about having stopped the interviews. But then not sure if it is just not updated or it is indeed continuing with the visa interviews. I hope the interviews are still on.

I have been monitoring the IR visa appointments (posted in visajourney.com) for the US Consulate in Mumbai. I saw that there were very little in August and even fewer in September. Is the Mumbai consulate processing extremely few cases of IR visas or is it just not happening and the only cases being considered as those cancelled during April/May 2021? Any idea of what's going on with IR visas in Mumbai?

I had the same question, wasn't able to find much info on the IR processing in Mumbai. I'll share if I get more info on here.

Thank you. Which IR visa have you applied? In which month did you get DQed at the NVC?
