Ciudad Jaurez Reschedule?

Last year my husband was scheduled for his interview in CDJ for April 2020. Shortly before he was to depart for Mexico, that interview was canceled due to Covid. We waited almost another year and were finally rescheduled for February 19, 2021.  As fate would have it, that was the week of the big ice storm that hit the entire country. His flight was cancelled and rescheduled 3x. By the time there were flights available again, there was no way for him to get there in time. 

 

Of course he called and was not the only person in this situation that week, but was advised to request a reschedule using the online form which we did. However, the response to the online form is that they're only rescheduling emergencies at this time and to just wait and watch the website. Does anyone know how long we will have to wait? Are we at the back of the line again? I feel like our lives have been on hold for the past 4+ years since we first sent in his I-130 and every time the end is in sight, it's yanked away.

6/22/21 and still no reschedule. I reached out on 5/5/21 and received a response today that regular appointments are still not being rescheduled and to "check the website for updates about rescheduling."

 

I don't understand why they are not processing reschedules right now especially for the thousands of appointments affected by the February 2021 snow storm. This is so frustrating
