My wife and I are compiling the things we need for her I-485 now that we're married, but there's one major problem: the I-797 Notice Of Action for her I-129F has gone missing! We're searching high and low and turning the house upside down to try and find it, but if we're not able to, what can we do?

You can send a copy of your online status page that says your petition was approved and hope that they don't send an RFE. My husband misplaced ours, too, and we filed form I-824 in order to have one sent to us. It cost us $200 (I believe the fee is going up for this at the end of July, too) and we had to wait approx 5 months for it. If I were you, I would send a copy of the online status and also send for the I-824 form (asap to avoid the fee increase) in order to have a hardcopy if it is needed for your interview or if they send an RFE for it. But, that's just me... Good luck!
