Do the submitted documents need to be very new?

I'm filling out the application for my parents, and do the documents need to be very new?

(less than 6 months old? less than 1 year?)

Thanks

I think it's little bit different in Korea. We don't receive birth certificates, marriage certificates, etc in paper (we don't receive them in paper unless we ask them, as everything is electronically processed).

Usually, people print these just before submitting N400, I-130, etc, and US consulate knows this.

I think I should ask in Korean forum. Thanks anyways
