The Passport Information section of the DS-160 wants to know what passport I will be using. I am a dual citizen: UK and Australia and currently live in Australia. I know I have to use my Australian Passport to both leave or enter Australia and assume that I will have to use this to apply for the travel exemption. All up, it made sense to me to enter my Australian Passport information into this section. When I do this, I see this message:

You indicated that the country or authority that issued your passport (or travel document) is different from your country/region of origin (nationality). If this is incorrect, please change it below.

  • Country/Authority that Issued Passport/Travel Document: Australia
  • Country/Region of Origin (Nationality): United Kingdom

It doesn't give me an option to enter in my UK Passport information anywhere on the form. What did you do?

For anyone browsing looking for an answer to this quest, either will do and I used my Australian Passport.
