Hello!

I'm looking for advice please on how to proceed with my EAD situation 🙏

My husband (L1) and I (L2) moved to the US 9 months ago. Last year as soon as we moved, I filled the I-765 form to get my EAD which was approved and I received it on last October but valid only for 5 months. The expiration date on the EAD is 3/28/21, which is the exact same date my husband passport is expiring (his L1 visa and my L2 are valid until 2024).
My husband already started his passport renewal process, but due to COVID there is months of delay in the process, so we don't know when he will have his new passport.
All that been explained, my question is: Am I able to apply to renew my EAD without having my husband new passport?  I honestly don't want to loose $410 in doing it if my chances of getting a rejection are too high.
Hopefully someone here had the same experience or knows best! I truly appreciate any help.

What's the I-94 "admit until" date? Does it match his Petition Expiration date?

His I-94 Admit Until Date: 03/28/2021 My I-94  Admit Until Date : 12/22/2022

This date matches my husband's passport expiring date and my EAD expiring date, which in theory it shouldn't affect us because he is still able to continue in the country meanwhile the L1 visa is not expired, he is just unable to travel out of the country until his new passport arrives.
