I am the petitioner on behalf of my wife.  I'm a US citizen living in Taiwan.  I am in the process of submitting my NVC application.  The last document I need to complete my application is confirmation/proof of employment.  My school has given me a document for this, but the document is in Chinese.  My question is, do I need to get a translation of this document for the NVC application?  If so, does that translation need to be notarized?  Or, put another way, is there anyone who applied while working in Taiwan who knows exactly what I need to prove my employment status here?

thanks.

Documents only need to be translated for the NVC if they are not in English or the official language of the jurisdiction of the embassy.

If you are having your interview in Taiwan, a Chinese language document is acceptable. If you live in France, for example, and are having your interview there then Chinese language documents must be translated.

Thank you.  I'll go ahead and scan & submit it then and hopefully it'll be accepted.
