we keep looking and watching the website (no interview appointments available) and emailing periodically, but only get standard email back, with no real time frame.  I did see wait time for Student visas was 9 days a couple weeks ago, then 3 days last week, now i see it's 14 days today.  IDK if that could me they are shifting focus to K visas soon or if it doesn't mean anything.  :(

Has there been any new news on the seoul embassy on k-visas?  I am still waiting for the nvc to send mine out and they just told me that they arent sending any applications out until the embassies tell them that they are working routine visas.

I haven't heard anything about them starting routine visa processing, but we have our K1/K2 interview in a couple weeks.  Hoping it doesn't get cancelled or something weird.  Good luck

I emailed them a month ago and they confirmed they are processing K visas. The visa time estimate tool on Dept of State’s website also shows 22 days for immigrant visas (which I think they process K1 as) instead of ‘999’ like before.

NVC has my application and is waiting for US embassy Seoul to request it, but do I now have my fiancé fill out DS-160 in the meantime?

Any news from your end or anyone else’s on what’s happening in Seoul? I did the State Department tracker and it read “At NVC,” so I guess the embassy hasn’t requested it.

What do we do if they expire while sitting at NVC?

We had our interview and received the visa on Dec 7 or so, you can check my timeline.  We immediately came to the US and got married before Christmas.  Now we are getting things ready for Green Card application.

I believe anything sitting at NVC will automatically get extended, so it won't "expire".  There are other threads and guides that go into details of the process on this site.  Basically, you need a letter with a current date saying you 2 still intend to get married when you go for the interview.  IIRC.

Good luck.
