Hey guys,

my lawyer sent my K1 application to USCIS on July 29th ( not sure how he sent it, I'm still waiting for an email back about that) should I be concerned that its been almost 1 month and haven't heard anything? I haven't gotten the NOA 1 notice, my check hasn't been cashed...I know after 1 month I can make a case inquiry. opinions?

It's way too soon for a case inquiry.  You can email the lockbox where the petition was sent.

Why isn't your lawyer doing this for you?

long story short, my lawyer has been a nightmare to get any information out of. I wish I had filed on my own but its too late for that sadly. So I don't know which lock box he sent it to, if he sent it via snail mail or if it was sent next day. I'm waiting for him to answer my email because if I call him i have to make an appointment for my question... he sucks.

Well, if he did it properly, it would have been sent to the Texas lockbox, which you can email:  lockboxsupport@uscis.dhs.gov.  Put both of your names in the subject line/body of the email, since you don't have any sort of reference number yet for your case.  Best wishes and let us know what you find out.

Thank you for your help! I'll keep you updated!
