Hello

I am new to this site, I was refarred here by my Friends Kat and Russ.

Our story...

We met online a year ago, Vernon came to visit me several times, in January I decided to come over to visit Vernon for a few weeks. Vernon suprised me and asked me to marry him in Feb. Of course I said YES!! I was here for a few more weeks so we decided to go on a trip to Las vegas, while we were there we both decided we wanted to get married right then!!!

So basically right now, we have applied for my AOS. I had my Biometrics done on May 30th and now I am just waiting.

Has anyone else gone through this process the way we are?

Any advice would be great!

Thank You

Well I'm about to... I came here on a B2 Visa and we just decided to get married because neither of us wanted to be separated again.

The only thing is that you'll have to prove that you didn't come here with the goal of immigrating and getting married. Appart from that you seem to be doing fine since you had your biometrics...

08.2006: Entered with a B-2 visa.

07.06.07: Civil Wedding

07.17.2008 AOS approved with interview. It took 367 Days!

11.08.08: Big family wedding

09.18.09-10.03.09: First trip to France with Hubby

I-751

04.19.10: Package sent to Vermont

04.21.10: Delivered in Vermont

04.22.10: NOA date

04.23.10: Check cashed

05.17.10: Received biometrics appointment letter

06.07.10: Biometrics Appointment

06.26.10: Touched

07.07.10: Card Production Ordered!

07.17.10: Card in the mail :) Done until citizenship

Yep I came on a VWP to stay with family friends for a few weeks..... I have known my now husband all my life (our parents are friends) but never thought about him in any special way before... well we fell in love and he asked me to marry him.... we talked to USCIS and a immigration lawyer about what we needed to do and were advised by both that all we needed to do was file for AOS + I-130 together.... we did that and I have had my greencard since Nov 2005....

There are a few of us who have done it this way.... if you have any questions feel free to ask..

Kez
