Hi everyone!

I had my interview today.

it went as expected, swearing under oath, civics test, reading/writing and confirming yes/no answers.
The office ether gave me the approval letter. However, as he was submitting everything  on the computer, he noticed something.

He called a fellow officer into the room, who then confirmed that “the i485 is digitized, and the T-file is there, but where is the A-File?” Apparently, the A-file is Still at the NRC (I might have the initials wrong).

the officer then sent me back to the waiting room while he talked to his supervisor. He then come out and informed me that he couldn’t officially approve now, as he had to wait for the A-file to de delivered, take a look at it and then make a decision. He said it would take about 2 weeks to 30 days and that I should expect a letter for the oath ceremony.

Before I left, he asked “before you were petitioned by your husband, did you have any prior petitions?” To which I answered no, because I didn’t have any prior petitions.

Then I left. Does anybody have any similar experiences?

For reference: I wad a student visa recipient, eventually got married and applied for adjustment of status. Three years after initial AOS was approved,  I applied for naturalization.
