I applied for naturalization in 2019 based on marriage.

Here is my timeline so far.

Became permanent resident : Jan 17 2017 (IR-1)

- Waited to pass 2 years and 9 months.

N400 Application sent : Nov 22 2019

Receipt Notice : Nov 26 2019

Fingerprint : Dec 19 2019

Interview : Feb 13 2020

After the interview, I got N652 that was "recommended for approval" and the IO said I should receive the oath letter within 2~3 weeks.

The next day of an interview, my online status was updated to "cancellation of request for additional evidence".

Myaccount.uscis had a pdf created for "Notice of denial" because I submitted N400 "too early" before it becomes 2 years and 9 months.

I called 800 numbers and talked to L2 officer that there is conflicting information.

N652 saying that I am recommended for approval VS Myaccount.uscis that my application will be denied.

He ran some numbers and submitted a referral to Des Moines Office to clarify this administrative error. (Feb 25 2020)

The next day my online status got updated to "You attended the interview".

I thought my case was fairly easy and straightforward.

I am still married to the same person and have kids. No criminal records, haven't traveled outside the US longer than 2 weeks.

Paid taxes well and on time.

It has been almost 3 weeks but this all mess is stressing me out.

Is there anyone who was in similar situation like me?

Thanks for the help.

I think you need to keep calling back until it gets sorted out. The outcome of the interview hasn't yet been entered in the system if it's still saying "attended the interview."

The IO needs to enter the decision in the system for it to be updated to "we approved your application."

CITIZENSHIP TIMELINE

5/2019: Biometrics (3 weeks)

2/2020: Interview (10 months)

3/2020: Oath & naturalization (11 months)

6/2020: Passport received (3 months)

Officially a U.S. Citizen!
