ok, so clearly the view here is to not use an attorney. I've just heard that it's near impossible to get the paperwork approved for a visa for a girl from Thailand. If my package was to get denied, it would only add more time because I'd have to redo the entire thing and resubmit it.

Plus, this attorney provides "coaching" for her interview...which I've been told can be pretty awful for Thai girls. Also, she used to be a "bargirl" which will have to be covered properly in the interview so as to avoid disapproval. Most girls in Thailand who work in a bar are considered to be prositutes immediately, and then denied US visa.

Why don't you visit the Asian Forum and chat with a few that brought fiancées from Thailand before you make your decision. You will hear a lot of things that just might not be true, and I bet there are several who would be able to tell you how hard/easy it was for them.

I think when you say impossible you might be talking about visitor's visa? There are member's on VJ that brought a Fiancee from Thailand. I did a little search and there is matt85 that recently got married with his fiancee from thailand. You may want to ask him and others

JCochranUSN,

You've not heard correctly, or somethings are being left out. It is very typical for young Thai women to be refused a B2 tourist visa, is is very unusual for a Thai fiancee or wife to be refused a K or immigrant visa.

Your fiancee being an ex bargirl is an issue to be dealt with carefully. Most girls in Thailand who are bargirls are thought to be prostitutes because most are prostitutes. Many of them nevertheless get their visas, I expect by not letting it be known that they are, or were, bargirls. Some do get caught and do not get their visas.

I have read reports from a few people who used and were happy with Mr. Wright's services. I personally would not consider him or his organization. Ask him when and from where he got a JD degree. Ask him when and where he has passed a bar exam.
