Hard copy of certified translation

Hi all,

I have to submit a certified translation of a Police Clearance Certificate from Germany as part of my marriage-based Green Card application.  This is part of the civil documents that have to be uploaded to the CEAC website.

I am getting a certified translation done (it will be done by a translation company, and a pdf will be sent to me, which I will upload). My question - do I need a hard copy of the translation (with wet signature from someone in the company) when I go to attend the Visa Interview in Mumbai? Any help in this matter will be appreciated.

Best,
Ashok

When I had my documents sent to a certified translator, I received a document with a wet signature from the translator. I have, however, read that the documents need not be officially translated - like you could do it yourself - if you are proficient in English. I would just rather not take the chances and do it officially. Maybe others may have more to add...
