N-400 Interview Documents

Hello,

My spouse has her interview coming for the N-400. She filed based on marriage to me, a naturalized USC. She already has her permanent GC since her I751 was approved.

The n-400 appointment letter indicated that she needs to bring a few documents for herself, no big deal.

It also asks her to bring my documents proving my citizenship. I do not have a naturalization certificate since I was under 18 when my parents were naturalized. I have a US passport that is expiring a few days before the N-400 interview.

I heard that they need proof that I have been a USC for more than 3 years. What should I do so that my wife’s case isn’t delayed? I am considering renewing my passport through an expedited service because it may look bad if I give her my expired Us passport.

That's fine. An expired US passport is proof of US citizenship. Straight from the horse's mouth:  https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/how-apply/citizenship-evidence.html

About the 3 years thing, have you had your passport for more than 3 years?
