Tax transcript and Selective Service

Hi,

 

I'm in the process of preparing the documents for N400 and I have two questions that need to be answered. 

 

1. I had previously use the IRS's online service to request my tax transcripts online. But when I logged in to my account over the weekend, it asked me to re-verify my identity. After I successfully completed all the steps, the last step was asking me to create an account. So when I entered my email address, it tells me that the email already exists in the system. It sounds like a glitch since I am basically just re-verifying my existing account. Does anyone have a similar issue to this?

 

2. For the Selective Service, my green card was approved couple days before I turned 26. I didn't know about the service at the time but luckily USCIS had me registered after the approval. However, the actually registration date on the Selective Service letter is on my 26th birthday. Do you think this is going to be an issue?

1. Looks like this is an issue you need to resolve by calling the IRS.

If you are not able to get the transcript, you can still take the printouts of 1040 and W2 from the last 3/5 yrs of tax returns. 

If you do not have the printouts of what you filed, you can request them by phone for a price 

 

2. No, won't be an issue since we are talking days and not months. Make sure you take the proof of registration
