I-130 RFE 2019 Texas - how long?

Hi,

 

I made initial I-130 application on April 7 and just received an RFE.  Can anyone with recent experience let me know what to expect in terms of response time once I submit what they requested? I'm trying to figure out what kind of delay to expect...

I just got a RFE as well ( April 12 is my NOA1 date) . I sent back what they wanted 10/07. I have been told Texas averages 30 days to review RFE. Looking at others timelines that also received an RFE, it seems many were approved in a 30 day window. Good luck!

Thanks so much for getting back to me. I don't even know what they want yet. MYUSCIS account hasn't posted anything and nothing in the mail.... just shows up in the Case Status Online for now. Looks like one system doesn't talk to the other.

I got mine in the mail after 4  days . It was for a copy of my divorce decree ( which is frustrating as it was definitely sent with my initial 130). Hopefully it is something small like that :)

Thanks for that. I sure hope so. Seems like a nitpicky RFE is becoming the norm rather than the exception.

Good luck to you and try not to stress about what it can be ( I know easier said then done).

the reality is rfe’s are very common :)
