Timeline

I my immigrant visa file has gone to Washington from London over an arrest with no convinction wether it makes me inadmissible Arrest was in 1986 and was my second arrest although I receiver a waiver for my first arrest Just wondered how long can I expect the visa office in Washington to answer??

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

 

Now a US citizen!

Thought you pleaded "no contest"...which, as several people informed in your previews post, IS a conviction. 

 

The lawyers in the visa office will respond only after a thorough legal review of the case -- there is no knowing how long that will take.

I get that My lawyer error I think I wonder why he went against consulate officers decision saying no conviction I can apply for a waiver but he is saying they made error soo waiting around and not putting in waiver is delaying me even more

Should I give a grace period for VO office Washington? Then tell lawyer let’s file waiver?

I'd probably wait until you have the AO, since he's already submitted the request.  Then you will know precisely what the waiver needs to address (if one is needed).  But, that's me....you need to do what makes you comfortable.
