Westchester and Bronx county is handled by Manhattan office. My PD is July 2018, so I have a long way to go.

You should be coming up soon! All the best. My lawyer said that if i really wanted it quickly, the best thing would be to move to Queens, as apparently your place in line is based on the receipt date and Queens filers from 2019 are being interviewed. But again, who knows. Right now I'm looking at another 7 months..The only saving grace is that I might get a 10 year green card because by the time my interview happens, I'll have been marreid for 2 years.

Thanks so much for the info.

I just can't believe there is such a huge difference in processing time within one geographic area. It is absolutely ridiculous.

At this point I would also prefer to have the interview in November since it would be two years from the marriage but I have a feeling that they would schedule the interview even few days before the two year period to avoid the issuance of a permanent card.

I will keep you posted on any update and if  you could do the same that will be appreciated. All the best!

That's a great news...they should have taken that approach a long time ago as its really not fair to applicants from more populated areas.

I'm still waiting for a renewal of my work permit. It has been 5 months...

Yea, but let's see how they implement it. At least they are recognizing the issue.

As of  today my case status has finally changed!!! The interview was scheduled and waiting for the notice!
