My wife is applying for a K-3 Visa. My I-129 application was approved on April 15th. a few days later I recieved a letter saying my case had been forwarded and they were gonna mail her a Visa package. Now it is almost June and she hasn't recieved it yet. How long is it supposed to take to mail her the Visa package so she can prepare for an interview and get an interview date?

Thanks for any help I can get. I'm starting to get worried.

Using the TIMELINES here the average NVC leave to P3 received is 2 months, and give NVC about a month or so to process, so 3 months from NOA2 to P3

If you look at my timeline signature, it took us ~1.5 months from NOA2 receipt to packet 3 received in HCMC. So you're pretty close to that mark, and there's no reason to be worried yet. If your fiancee lives outside HCMC it may take longer.

You may also email the US Consulate in HCMC. They are slow with emailing (it took them 2 weeks to reply to mine), but you'll probably get a response. Make sure you include your case number (HCM____) on the NVC letter. Or you can call them.

You can see my timeline (signature) that my wife receive Packet 3 approximately 1.5 months after the NOA2 (petition approval). And I consider that was fairly quick compare to other people timeline.

For your case, you got NOA2 on April 14, and then it takes about 2 weeks to go through NVC and on its way to Consulate in Vietnam. So the Consulate probably receive it around end of April or early May. Then using my timeline to estimate the time your fiance receiving Packet 3 would yield something like end of May or early June.

So your fiance should expect Packet 3 anytime now. If you still don't receive by end of next week, you can email them (remember to mention your case number) to ask them about your case status. You or your fiance can call them too.

Stay calm, use others' timeline to estimate yours. Good luck to you.

By the way, my wife went to Dich Vu Xuat Nhap Canh (147 Nguyen Kim, District 10, HCM City) to have them prepare the Packet 3 and she handed in herself at the Consulate within the same day. It costs only 200,000 Dong (15 USD). Other VJ have gone to the services nearby which costs 100 USD.

thanks alot guys.

now I realize what touched means. hehe, didn't know before so the timelines were hard for me to understand. I really appreciate the assistance. Good luck to everybody!

Oh, one more thing. How do you check on when the case reaches and consulate and stuff like that? USCIS only gives me info on when the application for I129F was approved and doesn't go beyond that. Is there another site to go to?
