just got an answer for my email from the consulate :

Dear Sir:

Please check with your wife if she has paid the full IV fee to USCIS. Any additional fees must be paid at the US Consulate when we resume full operation.

The U.S. Consulate General in Casablanca is temporarily closed to the public. We do not yet know when we will resume operations.

Please refer to our website at http://casablanca.usconsulate.gov/submissi...lications2.html for additional information.

that means THEY ARE NOT RE-OPENING ON THE 31ST

Thank you, Tarik, for posting actual information about the consulate. But I'm sure someone will be around shortly to tell you that their husband's aunt who is in the gov't says that they will be opening.

It has to remain a secret. If they say when they'll open, the terrorists win!

My fiance has a friend in CASA, and all I know is that he said the Consulate is open, and has been for 2 weeks.

By the by, what is SO?

Thanks Carol for posting. I am sure that people waiting for Casa to re-open appreciate any information given. I know I would. My fiance was fortunate, he received his visa on Friday (the day before the bombing in Casa). Casa closed that following Monday. If he had not gotten it right then, I would be in the same position as some of the ladies who are waiting. I would want to know any rumor or he-say information that people offered on this topic.

Good luck to all those waiting.

They are working there, but they aren't having anyone come for appointments, so it's not open to the public.

How can one claim God cares to judge a fornicator over judging a lying, conniving bully? I guess you would if you are the lying, conniving bully.
