Successfully scheduled K1 visa interview but confirmation says I should've received a letter from the embassy with an appointment date??

This could just be another case of "different department websites think the process happens in different ways...." but I just had my K1 medical in London today so scheduled my embassy interview for next week, 7 working days from today. It took my money and gave me a choice of appointment dates/times, but then after booking my interview it said something about bringing the letter I had from the consulate telling me what date my interview should be....?

Is this an outdated piece of info perhaps left over from a time when they'd tell you when to come for your interview? All I've had is the email from the NVC saying they'd forwarded my application to the embassy and giving me a case number with which I scheduled my medical (and now interview appointment).

Did I jump the gun on this or will it be fine to just take my printout of that email?

EDIT: I just checked my DS-160 status on a link on the appointment schedule site and it said my status was 'READY' for appointment, so I assume this supercedes not receiving anything by way of a physical paper letter through my letterbox and I can just rock up with all my forms.........??

Hi again. When you book your interview you'll get an email that starts with this:

"You have successfully scheduled your appointment and paid the K Visa application fee. Here are the details of your transaction.

You must print this instruction page and bring it with you to your consular interview, along with the letter or email you received from the Consular Section."

Followed by your personal info/interview time date etc. All you need is a printout of this email, I'm not sure if they send anything by post (if they do i certainly never got it). If you want me to tell you a full list of everything i took to interview just drop me a message

NOA1: February 13th

NOA2: September 4th

NVC case # assigned: September 21st

Medical @ Knightsbridge: December 5th

Interview: December 17th

Thanks, that clears it up! Yeah if you wouldn't mind shoot me a list if you can remember. I think I've got pretty much everything ready (and tonnes of extra stuff I probably won't need, too!)

@Eleanor & Jack hi is it possible you could share your docs with me please

If you need example forms (without sharing someone's personal info!) there's loads available in the menu up top, just click 'Guides > Example Immigration Forms'.

Here's the I-134:
