I have the link already for the info for packet 3 for South Korea, but I'm wondering if my fiance has to wait until he actually receives the information from the embassy or if, once we get our case number and fill out the ds-160, we could proceed with setting up his medical, etc?

Have you found your answer? From my research, I believe your fiance has to wait for the call and digital Packet 3 from the Embassy before you schedule any medical.

Once he got the case number he filled out the ds-160 and had his medical. We are just waiting for "ready" status before he can schedule his interview.

Are you guys taking all original documents, i134 etc with wet signature to the interview? Couldnt find a clear information regarding this.

I went ahead and sent him the originals once we got our case number just in case. I'm not sure if they are required but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Which mailing carrier did you use? And how much did it cost you to mail it to Korea?

Sorry for bombarding you with all these questions!

I'm happy to help! It was difficult to connect with other members who are processing in South Korea 😊 I sent him everything just through the regular post office. I think it cost about $30 to make sure I could track the package to him.  ~ we also finally have our interview date! Only a few more weeks left to wait 😊

Thanks for helping me out!!!

I'm so jealous... I wish we can set up an interview date already so we can start planning when to move and the logistics of it :(

Wishing you all the luck with the interview!!!!

Thank you so much 😊 ~ since you have your case number you can now fill out the ds-160 and schedule your medical as well.  Your application should hopefully be sent out to the embassy either next week or around March 5th. You are very close as well! 😊

We just set up our interview date. When you get the digital Packet 3, you need to pay the Visa Application Fee before you can set up the interview. This step delayed us a bit.

Also, I see you live in LA. If you are close to Koreatown, there are shipping companies that will (hopefully) deliver letters for a little less. I can’t vouch for them yet since this is the first time using a company like this but I sent my fiancé some documents yesterday and paid $10. The person there told me it should take 2 days to get to Korea. The downside is, I don’t think I can track the package.
