Not certain when will be my medical appointment yet, but we got a letter from NVC last week stating that after a week they will forward our papers to the US Embassy in Manila. This might be a little early to inquire for a place to stay but I need to hear from you guys who went through the medicals already. :jest: I'm from Cebu and I need a place to stay during my medicals. Can you please give me some hotel recommendations? Some place that's near SLEC and the USE, not very expensive, but clean and safe. Hope anyone here can share which place you stayed when it was your time to be in Manila.

Here are a couple maps of the area; my fiancée after looking at the area and hotels has chosen City Garden Suites for her medical at St. Luke's this week. I chose the Bayview Park Hotel for our interview on June 7th. We scouted the hotels around the Embassy on my previous trips, and of course read reviews on Trip Advisor and Virtual Tourist, etc.

The City Gardens is 2200-2300 PHP per night, and the Bayview is around 45 USD, often including Breakfast for two.

The best website I found was AsiaTravel.

hi! i stayed at palm plaza for my med and it wasnt expensive at all especially if you go to a travel ageny (i think it was asiatravel.com). not that far from slec (i even walked one time). i tried las palmas too (just beside palm plaza and they're ok too)

then stayed bayview (in front of the embassy) for my interview and could save more if again you'l use a travel agency.

good luck!

I would suggest sis Cherry Blossom (or blossoms, whatever! Heheh).. My fiance and I stayed in that hotel just for one night. It was cheap and the room we got was really clean and comfy.. (But other said that some rooms are filthy..) Your pick sis! :) (Oh, you can stay in our house if we'll have the same medical day, why not!) Heheh..

You were never a mistake. You were my realization.

You do n ot receive appointments for the medical...You go and it is a first come first served thing. But I would wait until I received the apointment confirmation letter or email from the US Embassy in Manila before going to Medical.
