F2A California approvals

I see dec2016 is the timeline as per visa bulletin. But in some forums like visa journey and Facebook groups I see some 2017 approvals as well. Is there any 2018 approval?

17 December 2016 is the cut off date. If you have a Priority date from before 17 December 2016 then you can inquire about your case. That is what the December bit means. Right now for f2a filers they are approving up to April 2017 - although there are still a few from January and February who have not yet been approved. The only way 2018 would be approved is if you were a citizen instead of LPR.

Thanks so much sherry Denise. To be frank this wait is really painful missing the loved ones many miles away. Wish they speed up the process someway and be on current.
