Hi all,

I submitted the N-400 package on July 24th and did biometric on Aug 7th. However, I got a job offer from Germany this Month. I should start working coming Feb if I accept it. My permanent residence that my parents stay in, will be same in US after the work starts. However I do not know when I can have interview as you know. I am wondering if I can go there for work and come back on interview day. Or please let me know how I can solve this problem.

Thanks in advance,

You just need to tell your employers the situation and allow for travel back twice. One for the interview, and once again for the oath ceremony, and the day of the ceremony get an expedited passport.

Dear ordjnb,

Thanks for your generous answer. I have one more question. Should I report my working to US embassy in Germany for tax report as a green card holder like in US after the work starts?

Regards,

You just have to file your taxes but it will be international taxes as your income was earned abroad.

Dear ordjnb and SleepyPanda,

I went to USCIS Charleston office for info pass. They told me that I can not work in Germany until I get my citizenship because I am a permanent resident. Also they told me that I am ready to interview but not scheduled yet. Unfortunately, a CIS office for my application changed from Charleston, SC to Atlanta, GA. Wait time of Atlanta office is longer than that of Charleston. I do not know what I should do. I am wondering if there is an expediting way for N400 processing.
