Police Clearance - RPO Ahmedabad

Hello,

does anyone know the actual process of the PCC issuance? My request for PCC was sent via Consulate in Dubai to RPO Ahmedabad. They in turn have to forward to police station in Vadodara. Its been a month since the request had left the Consulate here in Dubai, but the local PS hasnot received any such request. Does anyone here have any inputs/insights?

Well, As far as I know you have to be present in person to get a PCC from any RPO in India.  I just got my PCC done last month from RPO Vadodara.

Hi,

If you stay in India, yes. I work in Dubai, so this goes via the Indian Consulate here to RPO Ahmedabad and then to Narmada Bhavan (Vadodara). They pass this to local PS. It does not require my presence. 

Since this post, the police verification was done and hopefully I should get the same within the next few weeks.
