So i just booked for K1 interview but unfortunately there is error in the passport number on the usstate.doc profile i created but everything in my passport matches the DS-160 form as well as the MRV fees receipt from the bank. Do i need to pay another $265 so i can create another account to book the appointment or go ahead the interview appointment that has error with the passport number. I am confused right now. There is no way to correct the error after you put in the MRV receipt number

I think you should email or call them ASAP and tell them your concerns. Once the receipt number is assigned to an application it can only take a higher authority to reverse it and make it usable again . If you can prove that it was a genuine mistake it will be reversed but definitely will take a bit of time. If you go with the wrong number they might ask you to return and pay the money all over again to start the DS 160 application.
