Few Questions About the Medical at Knightsbridge

Hi everyone (again!),

The time has come!! His medical is tomorrow and we're trying to make sure all our ducks are in a row! We've got his updated vaccination record after he had to get the MMR boosted last week, and because he's covered under the NHS for Flu vaccinations for a minor heart defect, we got that today as well. Which is what I have a few questions about. His GP wasn't able to do the vaccination before his medical so they referred us to the local Tesco, which was able to do it for him for free under the NHS today. However, because we only did it today it's obviously not on his GP's official "vaccination record" However I was able to get a copy of this form (shown below, which I will print and take with us but she wouldn't photocopy it for us because apparently they don't have a photocopier, so she let me take photos) anyway, my question is will this form be sufficient to prove he's gotten the flu jab? As it's now required for visas processed October - March.

On an unrelated note, is this letter I have from the NVC the correct one? It's got his case number and everything on it so it should be - I'm just trying to make 100% sure so we don't slow the process down anymore than it already has been!!

Thank you guys so much (in advance for this post but also for all of my other posts) y'all are always so helpful and I'm sure I probably sound dumb sometimes but I'm really just trying to do everything correctly!! Thanks for putting up with me and helping calm my nerves about the whole process. :D

I didn’t even have to have a flu jab for the medical. Which surprised me, I was expecting to pay for it there. So I would of thought what you have will be fine. I only had to have one vaccination and they just have me proof on another slip, it sounds like that’s what you have for this one he has just had? Can’t see it would be a problem.

They are all really nice there and wish you the best. I think anything you give them with proof will be accepted.

And I think that letter is fine. All you needed was the case number and the type of visa.

The medical is a lot easier than I expected. Good luck!

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's only October through March so unless you had it this week you probably wouldn't have needed the flu jab!

I'm hoping everything will be fine I'm just going into panic mode because we weren't able to get any additional information about his heart defect... hoping it won't be a huge issue as he had outpatient surgery for it 9 years ago and was told everything was OK now, of course though, can't find that documentation anywhere!! I know they're trying to be thorough it's just exhausting sometimes!

Thank you! I'll post tomorrow about how it goes, I'm sure.

Hiya... sorry for taking so long to respond! It didn't go great but that's not really their fault. Knightsbridge was great but they did end up needing more info about his heart surgery.. I was really annoyed about it because he had the surgery 9 years ago but we were finally able to get ahold of the documents we needed last Friday but this is definitely going to delay us which really stinks.

Oh no. I'm so sorry to hear this! I guess the positive here is at least you have the documents now so it can start moving forward again. Do you have the interview booked or are you waiting until this part is sorted?

I wish you the best of luck. I hope it's all resolved soon.

His interview is Wednesday! We called Knightsbridge and apparently they never received the e-mail from his GP. :cry:Thankfully we got a copy of what they were supposed to send so they said we can swing by and drop it off while we're in London. Hopefully they'll be able to sign it off and send it off by the end of the week.. I've been living here for over a year and my flight is the 30th.. All hopes were that he would be able to come with but who knows now. I just hope all will be sorted in time for him to have his first Thanksgiving!

Thank you! I hope your journey is going better than ours!!

The embassy doesn't hang around so I'm sure once they get your medical results everything will move a lot quicker. I had my interview and a week to the day I picked up my visa. I couldn't believe how quickly they processed it all.

Good luck for Wednesday! If your interview is anything like mine, you will find it very underwhelming. In and out and wondering what the point of it was. Just a box they have to tick I guess.

Fingers crossed you will get to celebrate thanksgiving together.
