AP STATUS

Hi Everyone, just found this site, which i had found it earlier in the process but...

 

My fiance had her interview on 8/14.  At the time her St Lukes results weren't there yet and the CENOMAR she had did not match her other documents.  It had her middle initial instead of her middle name.

 

They gave her some papers and she went straight away to the PSA to get an updated CENOMAR.

 

She gave them the document the embassy gave her filed for the CENOMAR and paid and left with the understanding that this is all she has to do.

 

They told her they would send the papers to the embassy within the week.

 

Two weeks later on 8/23 I get an email saying that the embassy is still waiting on the CENOMAR.

 

She calls the PSA the same day and they told her that the CENOMAR was sent to the embassy that day.

 

All this time the CEAC status is "AP" and the "Date Last Updated" was 8/24.

 

Last week 9/13 the "Date Last Updated" changed but still under AP.

 

Today the date changed again to 9/17 but still under AP.

 

My fiance told me she got an email however.  The email was a forward of the email we received on 8/24 requesting the CENOMAR.

 

The embassy says just wait when she calls.  The PSA said it was sent.  

 

Is there something we did wrong?  The email had an attachment with it explaining how to get the CENOMAR and to use 2GO to submit it.  However the PSA said they will send it to the embassy or that the embassy will pick it up.

 

The attachment we go seemed to indicate we need to give said attachment to 2GO, but again we have gotten many conflicting instructions.

 

Can anyone offer any advice please, I am going crazy waiting here.

You follow the instructions in the 221g email ..    If it states to bring the CENOMAR to 2GO along with a copy of the 221g email .. that is what you do.   If PSA has issue you show them the email from the embassy with the instructions.    If PSA were to forward the BC to the embassy they would still need a copy of the 221g email.

 

Every time the date changes that means someone has looked at your file.

We received the email on 8/23.  My fiance went to the PSA with the letter she got in person on the day of the interview 8/14.  I did not see the letter she got that day and she gave it to the PSA so I don't know what it said.

 

Should we go the route of getting another CENOMAR and following the instructions on the email?

 

The email is a bit confusing as it says the CENOMAR is submitted by the PSA but we have to submit the 221g letter to 2GO.  The letter that was emails was a "Reverications form"

Also, the emails stated the following:

 You need to submit the document(s) marked below.  The required 221(g) documents may be submitted at any

                                             2GO drop-off branch with a copy of this letter and the 2GO Courier Submission Letter.  This service is free of

                                            charge. Logon to http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/, and click on the “Submitting 221(g) Documents” link to

                                            print your 2GO Courier Submission Letter.

 

That link does not have link for "submitting 221 g documents".

I don't see the logic (or reason) to go to 2GO with just the 221g email.   

 

If the main email said for PSA to forward the BC to the embassy that is all that is needed.. you did that .. now to be patient.       Being the date keeps changing with your status I would believe they reviewing your file .. BC must be there     We can hope anyway.

What worries me is that she received an email today.  The email was from IVMNLProcess@state.gov and they basically forward the email which was sent on 8/24 with the request for updated information.

 

If they forwarded or re-sent that email it seems they are still waiting for the corrected CENOMAR.

I agree with you, if the embassy is still sending document request emails, then another trip to PSA is needed to get a corrected CENOMAR, then take it to 2GO as the other instructions indicate.     

 

Other thought that came to mind was that PSA sent another CENOMAR, but it was not corrected to show full middle name.

She will call tomorrow.  Maybe we can get answers.  If not I will just have her do what it says in the email.

I hope things get straightened out soon for you two.

 

Once you get past the visa hurdle, do you have CFO handled or completing that after.

She did the CFO seminar already before leaving Manila and returning to her home town.  She will just need to return to Manila to pick up the passport and get the CFO Sticker.  

 

Originally I had planned it out such that she gets everything taken care of before leaving but it didn't turn out that way.  SMH.

 

Luckily she has a PSA office and 2GO office nearby.

So we figured out we need a new CENOMAR.  

 

The RE VERIFICATION letter we got said to let the PSA deliver it to the embassy.  

 

The email to which the letter was attached said we need to submit the CENOMAR using 2GO service.

 

We are a little confused as to which to do.  Please help.

Sorry .. you will have to call the embassy on this one, as you have opposing delivery instructions.    Or you order two CENOMAR and use both delivery methods.   (I would call)
