Restraining order

My ex husband and I, during the divorce got a restraining order against each other (at the same time, on the same day) it was dropped and we went our separate ways. My question, on the fiance visa paperwork it asks if I have had a restraining order, I obviously have to check yes, but do I need to send papers with the visa packet regarding this? Also, will this affect the chances of getting approved?

Yes u should send papers for restraining order. Along with any other criminal actives u may have. If no other criminal actives then no need obviously.

It shouldn’t effect the outcome. I have a criminal record. Sent in required documents. Did receive a rfe but had nothing at all to do with criminal record.

good luck

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

Does it need to be a certified copy?

I’m not positive tbh. For the $10 extra it cost for certification. It’s better to be safe then sorry.

now i can tell u this. I sent in my second divorce decree. It was certified. My rfe was for, they wanted a copy of my first divorce. They did not state it needed to be certified. I sent it back uncertified.
