My fiance in Costa Rica passed her Visa for K1 on Monday August 6th. The only snag was that her son who is a k2 applicant  and only 17 years old  needed to show proof that he is not married. We supplied that information and it was delivered 2 days later. I called the embassy and the staff person said that your file is in review and cant give me a time frame on when they will issue the Visas, Please help we have a wedding date set and am very nervous on how long this will take.  Has anyone had this happen and have an estimated time when this will be done? Thank you in advance

Really can depend on the embassy itself. Each kind of goes at it's own speed.

This is why it is most important to never plan anything until the visa is physically in hand.

Generally I think if nothing else comes up 2-3 weeks is enough time for them to get it and review and make final decision and issue the visas though...but that is just an estimation.
