This is going to be a tricky one.

Back in Nov 2001 at the age of 19 I came into the USA from Canada on a Tourist Visa.  My mother who was a LPR had her husband (US Citizen) file immigration application for me to become a LPR, but  I did not sign up for selective service at the time.  I was in the US until August 2002 when I went back to Canada for University and never became a LPR.  I visited often after to see my mother but never overstayed.

Now back in July 2014 I reentered at the age of 33 and got married and am a LPR and am going for my citizenship.  I know I need to file a request for Selective Service Status letter since I guess I technically overstayed even though my case was in the system back when I was 19.  The problem I am running into is in section 2. the question of when I first entered the USA.  Are they asking from when I was a 5 year old then every time I visited after?  I was here yearly for vacation so it was a lot.  Or are they just asking about this current time since July 2014?  Also it asking for statuses since entering the country.  Same thing just since 2014?

Any help is appreciated

From selective service website

”In accordance with U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Service (USCIS) Policy Manual - Volume 12 - Part D - Chapter 7, applicants for naturalization who are over age 31 are eligible for naturalization even if they knowingly and willfully failed to register. This is because the applicant's failure to register would be outside of the statutory period during which the applicant must show that he is of good moral character and disposed to the good order and happiness of the United States. Thus a man's failure to register with Selective Service does not make him ineligible for naturalization because he is age 31 or older. Also, since an immigrant who is age 31 or older remains eligible for naturalization even if he knowingly and willfully failed to register, he should not be asked to get a "Status Information Letter" from Selective Service.”
