Hello, I and my American bf are planning to get married this year, we've been patiently waiting for each other for 7 years now and I am really looking forward to meeting him in person and to spend the rest of my life with him but I am still confused on the part of the requirements of the US Embassy that you have to bring. It was said that you need to bring the followings which are

1. Confirmation Printout of appointment 2. Valid Passport 3. $50 fee and last was all divorce decrees or death certificates, so my question is do you still need a kind of certificate even though you're single?

Hoping to hear some response, thank you :)

No. You need to show up to the embassy and take an oath before an officer that you are legally free to marry.
