Hi.

I'm American. My wife is French. We got married in Korea. We currently live in Taiwan.

We have been married 11 years. We have 2 kids. She went through the residency process when we were first married and received it. We had a job opportunity overseas and took it so she officially abandoned residency.

Now, it's time to move back and we are getting all our ducks in a row. I have a few questions.

I just received a new marriage certificate from Korea. It's in English and it seems to be a copy of the document that we received from the US Embassy in Seoul when we got married. I'm not sure why they sent that to us instead of the marriage certificate. I'm attaching it for your reference.

1. Is this document likely to be accepted as proof of marriage? We are also going to include previous years tax returns and copies of our kids' birth certificates. I can probably get health insurance records for the past few years as well.

2. Can we include photos of our lives together to help prove the legitimacy of our marriage?

3. If this document is acceptable, do I need to have the stamps translated into English?

I'd appreciate any advice you can offer as to how to make our application more complete.

Thanks!

Looks to me like a "certified copy" of a marriage certificate.  Is that what you asked for?
