Hello. Was wondering if it's normal to be sent to a different state for the naturalization interview. I have done everything (biometrics, etc.) in Wichita, KS which is a 2 hour drive from where I live (still closer) but the interview letter says I have to go to Kansas City, MO instead. My naturalization was filed online if that makes any difference.

Thanks.

There are some places where part of the state is serviced by a field office in an adjacent state. And sometimes if an office is backlogged, they may split up the work load and assign certain areas of a district to another less busy field office. This happened to me. I live in Connecticut but was interviewed 3 hours away in upstate New York.
