I have a couple of questions. So my interview is June 18. I just started to gather all the stuff and going over it all. How many month back do I need to make copies of for our Electric bill, phone bill and bank statement? Or is it enough if I just make one from the newest statements that came in?

I'm also a little worried.

We only have a fee bills and 2 bank statements in our name. We both have some bills that come in each of our name to the same address. We just don't have any Health insurance, Care insurance or credit cards.

I have pictures of us together form back in 1997 when I meet my husband and since we have been together. Will that be enough at this point?

My mother in law and some good friends that we know since we have been together want to write some support letters. They asked me how and what to write. I'm not quit sure. Can anyone give me some pointers and exemplas what and how a letter of support from friends and family should look like?

OK, I have been making notes on the AOS process since I filed the I-129 (mostly while waiting for NOA2 and then the interview!). Don’t ask me where I got these notes from, but hope they are helpful to you & maybe others too!

Letters from Friends or Relatives:

1. Give letters from at least two friends

2. Each writes a separate letter, dated

3. He/she needs to include their name, date of birth, Social Security number, address, phone number

4. Describe how he/she met the couple

5. Describe when he/she saw them and for how long

6. Describe how frequently he/she meets the couple

7. Signature but notarized not necessary

Sorry I'm not sure about answers to your other questions, but personally I would bring as many copies of bills/bank statements etc., that I have (even if it is several months!). And probably the proof AFTER marriage (or after arrival in USA) is the most important, not the whole history of the relationship.

Have rental agreement, bills, letters, photos, etc from the date of your marriage - present.

Evidence needed for interview:

These letters are a new requirement of the I-130. They are not required for an AOS interview. I took simply the most recent evidence of things like joint bank statements, health insurance, car insurance, savings account, rental agreement.

I did not take utility bills because honestly, who has utility bills in both people's names in real life? Its the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! But if you have them, just take the most recent unless you're really paranoid about proving you're in a real marriage.

Honestly though the best evidence of your marriage will be your demeanor in the interview.
