I just got through to DoS and we have an interview date on August 7!! :blink:

I was so excited I completely blanked what time it is though. It's so soon, I'm not sure I'll be able to make it over that early! I was planning to go over for the interview, but I guess we'll just have to see. :dance:

Oh Cari I am so happy for you. And I am sooooo glad you got a date so soon. Blows your mind when they tell you that you have a date, huh? After waiting now for almost 6 months for this to finally happen, I was flabbergasted all day yesterday, and am still a bit today!!!! Hurray for you. Too bad we weren't on the same day, could grab a cup of coffee and laugh about how neurotic we've been through this whole process!!!! Well, I speak for myself and am only half ashamed to say what a pucker-butt I have been!!!! Great news though!!!

1-22-07 DHS cashes the I-129F check

1-23-07 NOA1 Notice Date

1-26-07 NOA1 arrives in the post

4-25-07 Touched!

4-26-07 Touched again!

5-3-07 NOA2!!! Two approval emails received at 11:36am

5-10-07 Arrived at NVC/5-14-07 Left NVC - London-bound!

5-17-07??? London receives?

5-20-07 Packet 3 mailed

5-26-07 Packet 3 received

5-29-07 Packet 3 returned, few days later than planned due to bank holiday weekend

6-06-07 Medical in London (called to schedule on May 29)

6-11-07 "Medical in file" at Embassy

6-14-07 Resent packet 3 to Embassy after hearing nothing about first try

6-22-07 DOS says "applicant now eligible for interview," ie: they enter p3 into their system

6-25-07 DOS says interview date is August 21

6-28-07 Help from our congressional representative gives us new interview date: July 6

7-06-07 Interview at 9:00 am at the London Embassy - Approved.

7-16-07 Visa delivered after 'security checks' completed

I-129F approved in 111 days; Interview 174 days from filing

See........they didn't forget you!

I'm observing a very different trend than what the Summer 05 class experienced. Back then it took us about 3-4 weeks to learn of the interview date. And the date was usually 6-8 weeks beyond that. Seems to me you all are waiting about the same time we did but the interview is much sooner.

I also think we are seeing London is still trying to accommodate the travel/wedding dates when that information is filled in on the checklist.

I think they have always been very good about that - we changed our dates (we got nervous and were doing Vegas so it matter anyway) because we hadn't heard when the date would be and then we got a date that would have worked for the original date.

Agreed, RJ. I don't remember seeing anyone lately who has not had their travel/wedding date accomodated by the consulate.

Yup. I was relieved to see Dan and Tiff to get their date just in the nick of time.

Honestly, I can't really remember seeing London ever NOT accommodate these dates. Once, there was even a young scottish lass (cannot recall her VJ name) who asked for a very unrealistic date (like ASAPNOW 10 minutes after posting Packet 3), got it, then canceled it when she realized she couldn't possibly round up her financial info in time.

I don't think I'll be making it for the interview, but I still want to go out there to help Neal get everything in order to come here (plus I do miss England a little bit :blush: ). And then I thought we could travel back here together (the first time we'd actually fly together!).

I got Packet 4 today.... the DoS said my interview is at 8.30..... but Packet 4 says its at 9.30. I'll give DoS a call later to see which one is right. Either way....YAY! lol

Congratulations. I would think the P4 would more than likely be the correct time, but on that same note, I would arrive in time for the 8:30 date, just to be safe. One hour of waiting is nothing compared to the wait you have had to get there!!!
