I came to the US two years ago as a F1 student  attending language school courses and my I-20 will expire in December, 2018. I am marrying a USC in June and would like to drop my classes by the end of May - so, marriage and AOS application will take place while I’m in my grace period.

If I stop school, and my I-20 is terminated immediately, do I get 60 days grace period and can I marry and apply for my AOS during this grace period?

I am concerned that by stopping my classes early, I might  need to leave the US immediately.

In my school they told me I have these options:
(1) i can only use 60 days for transferring into another school or leaving the US - no marriage involved,
(2) I have to prove somehow I’m in a process of AOS before I stop my education process with them. They suggest I need to show them form I-797C or another document what can assure them I’m fine.

What should I do? Do I need to continue attending classes until I’m married?

Thank you!

First and foremost, marrying for the sake of adjustment of status is wrong and USCIS frown at that. Secondly, if you marry a USC, you technically don't need to be in F1 status as the status itself will be terminated immediately you file for AOS. The bad thing about this is that, if your AOS is denied, you will automatically be expected out of the country. Why don't u still stay in school, continue with your classes, marry your love, file for AOS even if you are still in School. It's just a suggestion.
