This thread should always stay high up. At least you all had an AOS interview. I wonder how many are like my wife and I having AOS November 26, 2004 and then never even interviewed and never received GC like most people these days do without an interview?

Has anyone out their got a logical explanation for the randomness associated with the BCINS ie. does not seem to matter what country your spouse is from when it comes to who is hassled by the BCINS? I always thought we were unduly hassled because my wife is from Russia. After reading this board I believe it was just a random event that unfortunately happens to different people every day for no reason what so ever. Any thoughts on this?

i dont know what to tell you other than make an infopass appointment. certainly its out of the norm as you know.

Two infopass appointments at the mother h$ll of all BCINS service centers at NYC lead to nothing other than re-fingerprinting. Now we are on our third AP, which we will hand file in the NYC service center as per their instructions at our INFOPASS appointment (let them send it to Chicago if need be) as our application continues to be "pending" at the California Service Center.

well you certainly aren't the only one waiting at CSC for namechecks, however you may be the only active member waiting that long at CSC.

As an aside, I don't really understand why there is so much outrage that there is not a clear first in-first out program at CSC. FBI namechecks are completed on everyone applying for AOS benefit (at least in family based - I dont pretend to know anything about other adjustments), and those who are pending at CSC *may* just be waiting on these namechecks. If we all had interviews most of these namechecks would be completed by the time the interview rolls around, and those waiting would be none the wiser. But with the climate of relative-instant greencard success, those "left behind" are, well, left behind.

CSC has shaped up to be similar to the interviewing process (albeit MUCH faster) in that some people pass right on through without any headaches and some get *stuck*.

this whole process isn't FAIR, and the sooner we get over that fact, the better, myself DEFINATELY included. with that said - there are things we can do to make it better in the meantime, however its listed back a bit further in this thread.
