On the approval letter we received in the mail, it said something I am a little confused about...

 

Notice Type: Approval Notice

Valid from 03/09/2018 - 07/08/2018.

 

Does this mean I have to be in the USA by the 8th July or the entire thing is cancelled? i.e. medical, interview etc has to be done before this date?

 

Just a little confused so if anyone can help it would be appreciated.  Thanks

In theory, one is supposed to have an interview by that end date, which is July 8th in your case. However, your embassy may be slow to process your file before interviewing you or there's no interview dates available within your NOA2 validity. The embassy has the authority to extend the validity of needs be.

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.
