Hey, yeah I'm in the same boat - trying to book a wedding with an unknown date/number is fun!

I had my interview a week ago today... and I've just this minute seen my status change to ISSUED!!  So hopefully I should have my passport in the next couple of days.  I was told 2-3 weeks by the guy interviewing me, but it seems as though it's only taking 1-2 weeks (this is going by myself and a couple of other people who have had interviews over the past couple of weeks).

Tough to say. But it is usually a week or two with an approved visa and no problems. It is good that you haven't booked anything because 2.5 weeks after the interview to get married is really pushing it.

Yeh I know but we've aleady had to cancel our wedding plans from January as they were taking longer than we originally planned. The 1st April is the day we got engaged so it would be nice to have the same wedding date. I'm hoping to book my flight for the next day as soon as I get my passport back so by the sounds of it it is doable

Thanks soo much, that's what I was seeing people say 2 to 3 weeks and I cried hah I moved to the states in dec and came home last week to do my interview and medical and only brought hand luggage to keep costs down. All of my other things are packed in boxes waiting for my aproval so I can ship them to the states. Everything's a I don't know which is so frustrating.

Congrats on your issued status you should be in the states soon.

My passport with visa was ready to collect from the courier 9 days after the approved interview...the officer did say it would take 2 weeks or so, so I was surprised.
