Just an update.  On 1/23/18 we received a letter from NVC that our case is now moving forward and  that the NVC will be making arrangements with Brazil embassy to schedule interview and we should receive a letter in 30 days.   Can't believe its finally happening!

congrats!  I didn't think youd have to wait 30 days..  do you know if there is a way to find out how much in advance the embassy is scheduling interviews?  My fiancé (from Rio) says that he can schedule the interview himself... and I am wondering like if theres a way to know what days of the week or how far in advance they are already scheduling people..  any info ?  <3 bless you

Thank you!  I was told by my lawyer that about 30 days for the NVC to notify you of when it is scheduled and usually you get around 30 days advance notice when the interview is scheduled.  But i have seen from other peoples timelines on here that the interview could happen sooner.   I have heard other people say they can schedule their own  interview with the Embassy but I don't know how that happens.

I would just try calling the embassy with your NVC # and scheduling... give it a try. and let me know if you can. my fiancé from Rio says he has read tons of blogs from others who have done it that way.  ive seen people scheduled in like 4 weeks.... try calling them
