In my opinion they need to execute them and all their family members in public

MANILA, Philippines — Six members of the so-called underground mass organization of the New People’s Army (NPA) have surrendered in Compostela Valley.

An alias Jian, chairperson of the Komiteng Tig-Organisa, and her five cohorts surrendered in Purok 8, Barangay Nueva Visayas, Mawab on Saturday, Capt. Jayrald Ternio of the 71st Infantry Battalion (IB) said yesterday.

Aside from recruiting NPA rebels, Ternio said Jian’s group was involved in the indoctrination of recruits and collection of so-called revolutionary taxes among other community-based activities of the communists.

“These underground mass organizations are the breathing space of NPA terrorists. Cutting off mass support…will definitely degrade the NPA’s expansion program and decrease the number of armed recruits,” Lt. Col. Esteveyn Ducusin, commanding officer of the 71st IB, said.
