Substitute sponsor and joint sponsor under 204 i

I have an approved petition based on the family.I am the main beneficiary, the married daughter with three derived beneficiaries.My petitioner died.I need to reinstate the petition under section 204i. My substitute sponsor with an I864 form, does not have enough income. Is possible have a joint sponsor under section 204 I to complete the income requested ??

I think so, but I'm not 100%. The primary substitute sponsor must be your spouse, parent, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sibling, child, son, daughter, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, or legal guardian.

 

You can see further 204(l) requirements here: https://www.uscis.gov/greencard/section-204l-relief-surviving-relatives but in short, at least one beneficiary (principal or derivative) must have been residing in the US at the time the petitioner died, and must still be residing in the US when you seek this relief.
