Change of address

Before moving my husdand (petitioner) was in California and I was supposed to move there with him. At the last minute we decided to move to New York instead. We should be sending the AOS package before the end of this month. How do I change my address? Do I do it before or just put the new address in the i-485 form?

It's better you put in your new address and send off the package instead of putting in the current address and again changing  the address on the USCIS website.

Forgot to specify that we decided to move at the last minute as in before the POE. My current address is the New York one. The USCIS had the California address right now.

Are you talking about when you filed for I-129F before your file for K-1 visa?

When we filed for 1-129f he was in New York. Before my interview with the embassy he moved to California and we sent in the address change through email. I got my approval and right before my POE we decided to go to New York instead of California. I haven't given my new address to anyone since my POE.

Ok i got it. Now since it's a new application to the USCIS you will have to put in your New York address because all the mails will go to New York address. Since you have never resided in California you won't have to mention about that address anywhere. You will put the New York address in "Part 1----13.a. to 13.f." and Part 2 ---5.a to 6.b" of the I-485 application. The same goes for I-765 & I-131
