Dear All,

Please share your recent experience submitting a service request to USCIS, I have submitted one in regards to a pending I-485 and it has not been even assigned to an officer. It was submitted on September 1, it was expected to be responded by on September 23, but as of now, still no updates.

Has anyone recently submitted one, any updates? Anything helps, please. Have there been cases where USCIS never responded to a service request?

Thank you!

You should call the 800 number and ask them why your case hasn't been assigned yet. I submitted a service request at the end of August and got a notice 2 days ago after I called the number and asked them what was going on with the service request.

Ask to speak to tier 2 on the phone. They'll be able to assist you.

Yeah, did that but Tier 2 was not helpful at all. She said that the last action was taken on 8/28 but can't tell what the action was, very uninformative call! Any experience on the SR though?

I know this thread is about SR but would like to know if any of you had to get PCC (police clearance) for I-485 application. My wife's PD is current in Date of Filing table (PD - June 2016) and I am not sure whether we need PCC (she has been living in US for last 7 years)  from all the countries she has lived so far. Additionally,  do we need  to wait for a letter from NVC/USCIS  before filing or should we go ahead and send I-485 and other documents  to USCIS. Her I-130 is approved.

Thanks in advance !
